About James C. Collard, Ph.D.
Dr. Collard has over three decades of experience in economic and industrial development in both the public and private sectors. His expertise and passion in deploying foreign trade zones is uniquely balanced with his affinity for building eco-industrial parks following the principles of the circular economy. He is a certified International Trade Professional (CITP).
Dr. Collard currently serves as a principal consultant for FTZ106 in Oklahoma City, and a Professor of Practice in the graduate program in Regional and City Planning at the University of Oklahoma in addition to his foreign trade consultancy work.
During his seventeen-year tenure with the Citizen Potawatomi Nation he conceived, designed, and led the team that developed the Iron Horse Industrial Park, the first Foreign Trade Zone on Native American Trust land with activated sites.
James has been a featured speaker during multiple World Indigenous Business Forums and currently serves as:
